Springy in Fall

Monday, October 14, 2013

I'm sorry I didn't get any posts up last week.  I've been doing a lot of studying for tests and such and also, I've been working on a blog design for a customer.  Remember, all blog designs are free so check it out!;)
I wanted to give you all an outfit post.  When I first started my blog, I was thinking that I would do many kinds of posts, but I would do a lot of fashion posts.  Since I can't take pictures of myself in the outfits it is more tedious to do fashion posts, but I thought that you all deserved it:) so I hope to be giving you more of these kinds of posts.
It's also important to me that I teach you all about the art of saving money, so hopefully, I'll be doing a series or something about that soon.  At this point with 44 followers (2 private), I figured I had better get a little more organized.  Because of this, I may not be able to post quite as often as I was before, but I'll try to do my best.
High school is a lot more work than junior high, and things can get stressful.  I'm sure that most of you know that:).
So, I have an outfit today that looks a little more springy than fallish.  We have been having decently warm weather around here like 60s and 70s so I was able to wear this new top.
Full Outfit

The scarf

The boots

These boots actually have sequins on them

The bracelet

A closeup of the material.  Can you see the whiteish lines?
This outfit has elements of spring and fall in it.  The fall is represented by the boots and scarf.  The spring was represented by the colors of the scarf and the sleeveless top.  I think the color scheme can be attributed to either fall of spring.
The bracelet is my new fave.  Crosses are so popular in fashion right now, but to me it also represents my faith.  And it's sparkly!:)

Scarf- Gift- Free
Top- JcPenny- $3
Jeans- Plato's Closet/American Eagle- $11

Isn't that awesome that I can get $5 boots?!  And you can too!
Thrift Tip- Buy Boots When they go out of season or in the middle of the season.

The stores mark boots way down at the end of the season and you can get them for really cheap.  If you need boots the current year, don't go for them right when they are put out.  Chances are you won't even be wearing boots yet.  Wait until a little later in the season when they might have some sales.  Because most people who need them buy their boots right away, the stores try and sell boots mid season to those who don't really need another pair and make them think "Oh, it's so cheap, I'll get them anyway."  You can take advantage of this.

I love all of your comments, but as your mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!";)
